(Clarksdale, Mississippi) – Coahoma Community College (CCC) is excited to announce the 19th Annual Lil Tiger’s Basketball Camp for boys and girls in grades 1st through 9th. The camp will be held from June 10-14, 2024, at the Pinnacle.
This year’s camp will be led by Coach Ella Morris, a retired CCC Women's Basketball coach and Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Famer, who brings thirty-five years of teaching and coaching experience. Assisting Coach Morris will be CCC's Basketball Coach Shanae Govan-Williams and Dr. Shirley Taylor, another esteemed Hall of Famer.
"We are thrilled to offer this opportunity for young athletes to develop their basketball skills under the guidance of experienced and highly respected coaches," said Coach Ella Morris. "Our camp is not only about improving basketball techniques but also about fostering a love for the game and building lasting relationships with one another."
For a fee of $50.00, campers will receive top-rate instruction, a camp T-Shirt, a Certificate of Attendance, a skill evaluation, and the chance to earn competition awards. The camp’s competitions include Free Throw, 3-Point, and 3-On-3 contests.
Goal of the Camp:
- The goal of the Lil Tiger’s Basketball Camp is to offer the camper the maximum instruction for the minimum cost under ideal learning conditions. To reach this goal, we will provide a positive experience by combining interactive activities geared around basketball both on and off the court.
- Our aim is to leave the campers with skill development in basic fundamentals, an increased confidence in both basketball and themselves, and, more importantly, we take great pride in providing a lasting and memorable experience.
Registration Information:
- Mail-in Registration: Begins immediately.
- In-person Registration: Friday, June 7, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pinnacle.
- Late Registration: Monday, June 10, 2024, with an additional late fee of $5.00.
